Indian Valley Line

Indian Valley Line is a band comprised of two buddies who spent a great deal of time on the road as musicians and one as a roadie for the other for some years. Much of the music projects a romantic view of those who live on the road, gypsies, hobos, ect. and embraces a long lost spirit of storytelling, journeys, and self reliance, portraying an old soul spirit that is all but lost in todays world that is obsessed with marketability and trendiness.

Indian Valley line is made up of two members; Kevin Sur, a film composer and founding member of the groundbreaking punk band Luckie Strike. And "Emo" Ben Boyden, an artist who began his experience with bands as a roadie for bands like Luckie Strike and The Secretions. Ben went on to form the popular bay area outfit D.O.D. and performs music for various projects including, Short Changed, Disconnect Now, The Forceps, and Good Game.

Having a mutual admiration for much of the same music as well as for bands that share a human connection with their audience, Kevin and Ben decided to create a band that was stripped down to it's bare bones. Kevin, singing while playing a number of different strung instruments and the accordion, while Ben plays a scaled down drum set while standing up and singing backing vocals.

Indian Valley Line has no aspirations of stardom, only a longing to share honest music together, and to create an intimate experience with those who witness it.
